Worshipping Together

At Mount Waverley Uniting Church, we are currently holding all our services at the High Street Road site while renovations are under way at the Virginia Street Worship Centre. We hope to move back in there towards the end of 2024.

No matter where we worship, we welcome all who come through our doors and look forward to seeing you.

Current situation

Although there are currently no restrictions in place, you are encouraged to wear a mask when attending services or group activities if your immune system is compromised and you want to avoid the risk of contracting viruses in public spaces.

The responsibility for preventing the spread of COVID-19 now rests mainly with organisations and individuals. Thank you to everyone for continuing to consider others as well as yourselves in helping to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Welcome to the Mount Waverley Uniting Church.

We are a loving and caring community, living the way of Jesus, participating in God’s action in Australia and around the world and reaching out to assist and care for our local community.

Celebrating 135 plus years of worship and service from the hilltop in Mount Waverley and more than 65 years of worship and service from the plains of the Mount Waverley Village.

We are an inclusive congregation and work ecumenically with neighbouring churches. We welcome people of all cultures, races, spiritual beliefs and sexual orientation. We worship God in mainstream Christian tradition with a rich blend of styles and with an open hearts based on the teachings of Jesus. We are always seeking to learn and grow spiritually, theologically and faithfully.

We are members of the Mount Waverley Uniting Church Cluster, in conjunction with St Luke’s and the Melbourne Fijian Uniting Church.

There are currently no COVID-19 restrictions in place. However, you are encouraged to wear a mask when attending services if your immune system is compromised and you need to avoid the risk of contracting viruses in public spaces.

Services at Virginia Street, Mount Waverley have been suspended until the completion of renovations to the property later in 2024.
